The main tax obligations of a company in Morocco

VAT (TVA): returns and payments are filed monthly or quarterly depending on turnover. Corporate income tax (IS): an annual return with the tax package within three months of the financial year-end, plus four quarterly advance payments. Payroll income tax (IR): withheld at source and paid every month. Local taxes, such as the business tax (taxe professionnelle), also apply.

Returns are filed online with the Direction Générale des Impôts (DGI). Late or incorrect filings trigger penalties and surcharges, so the real work is anticipation.
